A sea does not disappear. It changes medium.

Since 2016, I have photographed the Salton Sea. These works follow what becomes visible, airborne, and valuable as water retreats. Mineral crust, glare, and polluted water become the conditions of the image. Photographs, historical postcards, and hand-built frames hold different moments of the landscape together, asking the viewer to move between the image and its material surface.
